Dario Minieri

Brought up in Rome, Dario Minieri is a well-known professional poker player. He is one of the youngest players to win a WSOP bracelet. He was 23, when he achieved the feat in 2008. He has been a part of the international circuit of poker from the age of twenty. He started playing poker games from the year 2004. Dario is a very good observer and has been recognised for his good temper.

Dario MinieriIn 2005, he stood fourth in Compionate Italiano di Poker Open. 2006 was not a good season for him. However, he finished third in the EPT Baden No Limit Hold’em Event (USD 5,000).

From the beginning of 2007, Dario Minieri showed signs of bouncing back and he did that in style. He had a 27th place finish 2007 WSOP No Limit Hold’em Event. Following that, he ended up ninety-sixth in the WSOP (USD 10,000) Main Event.

In later part of 2007, he won the Poker Stars Freeze-out and took home a sum of USD 60,000. In the same year, he also won the title at Poker Stars High Stakes Showdown and ended up winning USD fifty thousand.

In 2008, Dario won the 2008 WSOP USD 2,500 No Limit Hold’em Six-Handed event. Here, his earnings were over USD 500,000. Next stop of another top finish performance was the EPT Warsaw. In two consecutive seasons, he showed the critics that he had what it takes to beat the best. In 2008, he finished 3rd in the EPT Warsaw PLN 21,000 No Limit Event, whereas 2009 saw him winning the EURO 12,225 High Roller event.

Until WSOP 2009, he had tournament earnings of around six hundred thousand dollars. His overall earnings amount to $1,360,170. Dario Minieri has won a WSOP bracelet and is also the first player in poker history to buy a car with player points and playing poker starts.
